Škoda Auto took part in the 15th Prague Pride Festival (28 July–4 August) for the fourth consecutive year and, for the first time, served as the event’s main partner. More than 100 employees – along with members of the Škoda Proud employee group – joined workshops and the main parade. Colleagues from partner organisations 42 Prague, Digiteq Automotive and Škoda Auto University also marched alongside the Škoda team. Festival-goers were able to view the Elroq Respectline, a one-of-a-kind show car celebrating mutual respect, diversity and inclusion. Displayed all week on a floating pontoon on the River Vltava in the heart of Prague, the vehicle also formed part of the closing parade through the city. Škoda’s holistic sustainability strategy incorporates employee care, diversity and inclusion, and is underpinned by a commitment to open, fair working conditions. In June this dedication earned the company the Pride Business Forum’s Award in Bronze category for LGBTQ+ Friendly Employer.

‘Where is my home?’ – Škoda champions belonging and inclusion at Prague Pride
This year’s festival centred on the theme ‘Where is my home?’, prompting reflection on safety, acceptance and belonging. LGBTQ+ people often encounter prejudice, restrictive norms and rejection – challenges that resonate with many other communities across society.

As an event partner, Škoda hosted an event stand, where it presented its diversity and inclusion initiatives alongside selected vehicles. Karsten Schnake, Board Member for Procurement and sustainable-development advocate, joined employees at the event. The Škoda Proud employee group participated in numerous activities as well as walking in Saturday’s main parade.

Visitors could also view the all-electric Škoda Elroq Respectline. Displayed on a floating pontoon on Střelecký Island on Vltava River, the rainbow-themed vehicle drew significant attention and later joined the parade. Created earlier this year to emphasise Škoda’s commitment to mutual respect, diversity and inclusion, the show car had already featured prominently during European Diversity Month in May, highlighting the importance of human rights and fair treatment for all.

Recognition for diversity, equality and inclusion at Škoda Auto
Škoda Auto has long advocated for diversity, inclusion and fair treatment in the workplace, and has been a signatory to the European Diversity Charter since 2019. Its efforts have earned multiple accolades, most recently the Pride Business Forum’s Award in Bronze category for LGBTQ+ Friendly Employer. The judging panel appreciated the company’s balanced performance across all assessed areas and praised the proactive contribution of the Škoda Proud employee group.

Diversity, equality and inclusion (DEI) form an integral part of Škoda Auto’s broader environmental, social and governance (ESG) strategy. In the latest independent ESG assessment, the company recorded an above-average DEI score of 94%. Further details are available in the latest Diversity Annual Report published in May.

This year, Škoda Auto again served as the official main partner of the Tour de France Femmes avec Zwift, the largest women’s cycling event. In addition to the year-round vehicle fleet provided to the organiser A.S.O., the Czech carmaker supplied a fleet of 32 electrified Enyaq and Superb iV vehicles. Also, Škoda Design created the green crystal trophy for the winner of the points classification, Lorena Wiebes. Johannes Neft, Škoda Auto Board Member for Technical Development, participated in the official awards ceremony. The 2025 staging saw 154 riders in 22 teams compete over nine stages and 1,165 kilometres – the longest route in the event’s history. Last year, Škoda Auto extended its partnership with the organiser A.S.O. until 2028 as part of a deal that covers numerous major men’s and women’s races each year.

“I sincerely congratulate all the athletes on their outstanding achievements. It is truly impressive to see what can be accomplished through fairness, respect, and teamwork – values we fully share at Škoda Auto. It is an honour to present the trophy designed by Škoda Design to Lorena Wiebes for her success in the points classification at this remarkable event. This year, in addition to the year-round vehicle fleet provided to the organiser A.S.O., we supplied a fleet of 32 electrified vehicles specifically for the Tour de France Femmes avec Zwift. This demonstrates Škoda’s ongoing commitment to both its long-standing support for cycling and to emission-free individual mobility.”

Škoda vehicles support the organisers and Race Director
This year’s Tour de France Femmes avec Zwift was the most demanding to date in terms of length and course profile. From 26 July to 3 August, 154 riders from 22 teams tackled nine stages and 1,165 kilometres, travelling from Brittany to the Alps and crossing the whole of France. With numerous mountain sections and a finish in the Savoie Alps, the riders faced a record total ascent of 17,240 metres.

In addition to the year-round vehicle fleet provided to the organiser A.S.O., Škoda Auto supplied a fleet of 32 electrified vehicles, including the new Enyaq and the plug-in hybrid Superb. A new Enyaq or Superb iV, equipped with advanced communications technology, also served as the ‘Red Car‘ for Race Director Marion Rousse. To mark the occasion, Škoda showcased its Elroq Respectline show car, highlighting the brand’s values of respect, diversity, and inclusion.

Škoda Design creates the trophy for the points classification winner
As in previous years, Škoda Auto supplied the trophy for the winner of the points classification in the largest women’s cycling race. The Škoda Design department took on the task of designing and crafting a new crystal cup in a striking green hue, created using a unique process that incorporates pigment directly into the glass. The emerald colour reflects Škoda’s corporate identity and also references the green jersey awarded to the leader in the points classification, which is also sponsored by the Czech carmaker. A special feature of the 2025 trophy is a unique logo marking Škoda Auto’s 130th anniversary.

Škoda Auto supports cycling at every level
Cycling remains one of the key pillars of Škoda Auto’s sponsorship activities. Last year, the company extended its partnership with the organising agency A.S.O. until 2028 as part of an agreement that includes providing support for a host of men’s and women’s races every year. Among the most prominent events are the legendary stage races Tour de France and Vuelta a España, as well as iconic one-day classics such as Paris–Roubaix and Liège–Bastogne–Liège.

In May, Škoda announced that it would become a partner for the next two seasons of additional flagship Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI) events: the Mountain Bike World Championships and the Gravel World Championships. In addition, Škoda Auto sponsors several domestic cycling events, including L’Etape Czech Republic by Tour de France and Road Classics.

Škoda reveals first details of the Vision O concept car due to premiere in Munich in early September. The study will give an outlook on the brand’s future in the estate segment and is marking an evolution of the Modern Solid design language. At the same time, the Vision O is reflecting Škoda’s 130-year tradition and underlines the company’s commitment to sustainable innovation.

“The Škoda Vision O design study will highlight the future trajectory of estate models under the influence of new technologies, sustainability, and the deep experience of Škoda Auto in this segment. This will be one of our most significant steps in developing and evolving our design language even further for this period of transition in the automotive industry. It will position us to remain a major player in the estate segment, where Škoda Auto has been engaged since the 1920s. We are excited to present this concept to the world in early September 2025, marking a new era for Škoda Auto. Stay tuned for further information which will be released in advance of the Škoda Vision O world premiere.”

Klaus Zellmer, CEO of Škoda Auto

The Vision O study presents a consistent evolution of the Modern Solid design language
At first sight, the estate concept features a sleek, distinctive silhouette. The design is predominantly shaped by the light contours, the aerodynamic body, the steeply raked windscreen and the gently sloping roof typical of Škoda estate models. The model designation “Vision O” is derived from the concept of circularity. This holistic approach to recycling and reusing components, minimises the environmental impact of vehicle development and production. Furthermore, the concept is also characterized by the combination of functionality and user experience.

130 years of Škoda’s rich history are accompanied by successful and innovative estate models
The Vision O concept continues the manufacturer’s legacy of estate cars, encompassing models such as the historical L&K 110, known for its variable body options. The most successful is the Škoda Octavia estate, first introduced in 1960. Modern versions of the Škoda Octavia estate have already surpassed the milestone of more than 3 million units produced in four generations since 1998, making it also the best-selling estate model in Škoda history. First launched in 2008 with the second-modern-generation Superb, the Škoda Superb estate is also highly popular. Other well-liked Škoda estate models include the Škoda 1101 Tudor Station Wagon (STW) with a folding rear seat, as well as the Škoda 1200/1201/1202 model family.

The Škoda Vision O design concept will be presented in Munich at the beginning of September 2025.
